As from September 2013 Gateacre School will be using ParentPay for school meals, trips etc which is a secure online payment system. Parents who need to continue making payments by cash may do so using PayPoint at local convenience stores. For school meals only, the current cash machines will still be available for an interim period. Read More

Talent 2030 Finalists!

Six Year 9 pupils, Bethany Anderson, Amelia Brake, Rebekah Dallas, Amy Doyle, Lydia Mackie and Amy Youd, entered the 'Talent 2030 National Engineering Competition for Girls'. Read More

Astronomy Club!

Some of our Y12 students have been attending astronomy enrichment class after school on Mondays with Mr Gash. This has given them an opportunity to learn about constellations, stars, planets and the use of telescopes and binoculars for observation. Read More


A very intensive term is coming to end with our older students immersed in preparation for their forthcoming examinations. Many of them will be coming into school over the Easter holiday to work with their teachers and I want to express my thanks to all the staff who give their time selflessly. Newsletters
