Year 9 Liverpool University trip

Year 9 Liverpool University trip

A group of Year 9 students visited University of Liverpool this week to take part in a STEM event.

The day started with the students splitting into groups and completing tricky maths questions for points. They had a total of 65 minute to complete as many questions as possible. The winning team had Carson, Enock, Rexley and Chris in it who scored a total of 200 points, the highest of any team over the two days!

The second event involved the students going into a giant dome and using the telescope to view the planets. They got to learn all about the different planets and moons in the solar system.

The final event was an AI event where the students were asked to complete a task manually and then have AI complete it and see who did it quicker. The answer, AI did! The students had a really fun day going around the university and looking at topics that they wouldn’t normally cover in school.
